The My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) is a scholarship program administered by the Department of Defense aimed at providing financial assistance to eligible military spouses. Eligibility for the MyCAA scholarship is specific to military spouses who meet certain criteria:
Spouses of active-duty service members in pay grades E-1 to E-9, W-1 to W-3, and O-1 to O-3 are eligible. This includes spouses of members of the National Guard and reserves when the service member is on Title 10 orders.

A: The spouse must have completed high school or obtained a GED.
A: No, they must be able to start and complete their coursework while their service member spouse is on active duty with Title 10 orders.
A: Spouses remain eligible if their service member spouse is promoted to a higher rank, provided they have an approved education and training plan in place before the promotion.
A: Yes, there are some exclusions. Spouses who are themselves active members of the armed forces on Title 10 orders are ineligible. Additionally, spouses who are legally separated from an active-duty member, or those whose military spouse is in certain statuses like Warning Orders/Alert, Post Deployment/Demobilization, or Transition Status, are also not eligible.
